The Chapman Academy conducts some specialized classes during the calendar year; these courses have prerequisites, such as the Advanced Pistol / Shotgun course, the Advanced Pistol / Carbine course, the Advanced Defensive Pistol 2 course, and the Advanced Low Light Course.
The Chapman Academy has and can conduct special training programs for military or law enforcement groups or units. We schedule them (on a first come first serve basis; reserve early as we are generally booked out at least 4 months) for groups of eight or more, maximum of 24. They are available year round, because they are offered outside the schedule of published programs. Course cost (per student) varies based on the number of persons attending the course, course content, and length. The course tuition and ammunition requirements will be determined after we discuss availability and tailor a course to your needs.

| For a special program, we follow a basic outline that is flexible enough that it can be modified to meet the particular training requirements for individual groups. This also permits us to incorporate more than just the pistol, be it light rifle, shotgun or submachine gun, or combination of weapons. The flexibility designed into the course permits us to start at any level. Instructors evaluate the participant's performance and adjust the degree of difficulty to constantly challenge them. We start with basic or refresher type exercises and progress to the more difficult and demanding ones as we do with all our programs. Regardless the block of training, it will stress the Chapman requirements to shoot effectively, move quickly and use cover. The segment that presents team exercises traditionally is especially productive training. |
Due to its "tailor to your requirements" approach, we ask that interested groups contact the Academy. We also welcome civilian groups for a full week or weekend program. Again, because it is a special program, it can be designed to adapt to individual requests. We have conducted similar programs for firearms industry firms and representatives, but it is not necessary that groups be so affiliated. In the past, private groups have found that simply gathering for informal training and shooting fun have been very enjoyable. Shooters who spend a day of fellowship at the range find an excellent meal at one of the local restaurants to be the perfect culmination to the day. Arrangements for such an event can be made by contacting the Academy.
